Jasper's Learning Island is a family learning app designed for young children to use with a parent or guardian. Most learning activities work without an account.

Information we collect

If a grown-up creates an account, we store the name and email address they provide, a securely hashed password, account role, registration and recent sign-in IP addresses, and sign-in dates. We keep aggregate page-view counts and an anonymized visitor identifier for security and basic first-party statistics. We do not use third-party advertising or third-party analytics.

Family photos and videos

Private family media is available only to signed-in family accounts after a separate family password is entered. Media is encrypted before upload and is not published as an unprotected website asset.

How information is used

Information is used only to provide accounts, protect the private family area, operate the learning service, prevent abuse, and understand basic service reliability. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising.

Children

A parent or guardian should create and manage any account. Children can use the core learning activities without providing personal information. Grown-up areas and external links in the iOS app are protected by a parental gate.

Storage and deletion

Learning progress is stored on the device. When a grown-up signs in, learning progress is also uploaded and linked to that account so it can sync across devices. Favorites remain on the device. Deleting the account removes the account record, cloud learning progress, and active sessions. Aggregate, non-identifying service statistics may remain.

Service providers

We use Vercel to host the service, Upstash to store account records, Vercel Blob for encrypted family media, and Resend to deliver password-reset messages. They process data only to provide these services.
